STUDIOITALIA is an Italian language school for foreigners founded in 1985. For the last 30 years, the school has been one of the most important Italian language teaching centres in Rome. The Italian school for foreign students is located in the very centre of Rome only 5 minutes from St. Peter's Church and just off Via Cola di Rienzo one of the most important commercial streets of the city right behind Piazza del Popolo. The school accepts a maximum of 10 students per class, in order to guarantee the highest level of quality of the course as well as the relationship between students and teachers. Small classes ensure that every student has an opportunity to practice their language skills and to participate actively in each lesson. Our method of Italian language teaching focuses on the student's expectations, needs, and personal learning style. We work with our students to offer a learning environment which helps them achieve their personal goals while studying Italian. A general communicative approach is combined with all the newest didactic techniques and teaching strategies, allowing us to customize the learning path and the program for each individual student even when in the same course as others. Our Italian teachers are prepared to work with different language learners with different needs and are able to offer all students the chance to learn and improve in every single lesson, listening to their requests and communicating with them in every aspect of the learning process. The development of communicative skills and of the ability to speak in real-life scenarios such as at work, school, a party or in social relationships, has always been the priority in respect to the study of grammar and of the more formal aspects of the language. This does not mean that during the course grammar and phonetics are not studied, though they always have secondary importance. Our Italian courses are dynamic and require active participation by the students, respecting their own learning pace and expectations, without forcing anybody to speak without spontaneity, and at the same time stimulating a relaxing, productive, and at times genuinely funny communication.

Scuola Leonardo da Vinci, located in the city center of ROME, offers a wide range of high-quality Italian language courses, conceived for any level, from beginner to advanced, all the year round! Courses start every Monday except for beginners and students can stay for 1 week only as well as for many weeks and months. Our school organizes interesting leisure activities every week during afternoon and evening. Our 40 years of experience make us a well-established and reliable reality in the world of language schools. We are very proud of our professional and friendly staff, who do their best to make every student's stay unique in terms both of language learning and of cultural experience. Our teaching method is influenced by modern didactics and is designed according to the 'Concept of Foreign Languages' of the European Council and the guidelines of the ''Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL)". We follow a communicative method: from the first day of lessons and at each ability level, only Italian is spoken in class. We put particular emphasis on spoken language and on communication, but also deal with the 4 base abilities (reading, writing, oral comprehension and speaking). Lessons are interesting, interactive and also fun, organized in a relaxed atmosphere in which learning is done naturally. Text books are supported by authentic material, like newspapers, magazines and video, that facilitate learning about contemporary Italy and the many different aspects of Italian culture. Our teachers, experts in teaching Italian to foreign students, are there for the students, to guide them, motivate them and help them in their learning. In addition, through the years Scuola Leonardo da Vinci has developed its own teaching method. The books have been conceived for speeding up the learning process of Italian language. Grammar is presented in a logic and organized way, followed by examples and a wide range of practical exercises and short stories that give both students and teachers many opportunities for making conversation in Italian language. All the programmes have been thought in order to reach your goals, independently from the duration of the course. Having a deep knowledge of Italian grammar (through the continuous practice of writing, reading and speaking in real situations) is the principle which Scuola Leonardo da Vinci’s method is based on.
The Percorsi d’Italiano team has many years of teaching experience, both internationally and in Italy. Our experience drawing up study programs for embassies, cultural institutes, religious institutions, universities, and international companies convinced us of the need to offer courses dedicated to the linguistic, professional and cultural needs of foreigners coming to Rome for business or leisure. Learning a new language is a journey (percorso) of constant discovery. At Percorsi d’Italiano, we offer custom language courses to take students beyond the mere assimilation of grammar rules. Students come into direct contact with everyday life in Italy, through both practical and cultural experiences. As well as offering our unique, tailor-made programmes, featuring our proprietary learning-on-the-move methodology, we also offer courses in Italian for business use. Learning on the move: Interactive Italian courses both in class and out about town. Our “Learning on the move” Italian classes blend the best of both worlds for learning the Italian language by obtaining the basics in class and by further learning and applying on the move around town. During classroom lessons, your understanding of grammar will deepen, but the main objective of our courses is communication, which is what we elicit by inspiring you to ask and discuss things seen along the way of our walks from buildings to piazzas, cafés to churches, or architecture to archaeology. We develop our “percorsi” or journeys according to the input and interests of students, to include walks that provide practical experiences or from a more cultural angle. With our “Learning on the move” method, participants will gain: a more concrete foundation: I see, I learn, I use, I memorize… I speak. greater fulfillment: I learn new words, new structures and use right away what I’ve learned so that I am actually speaking Italian immediately which builds confidence and provides immediate satisfaction. A fun experience: the streets, squares, palaces, Roman markets, etc, become more attractive, stimulating and lively and it’s more fun than learning in just a closed classroom.
